The main function kcca implements a general framework for k-centroids cluster analysis supporting arbitrary distance measures and centroid computation. Further cluster methods include hard competitive learning, neural gas, and QT clustering. There are numerous visualization methods for cluster results (neighborhood graphs, convex cluster hulls, barcharts of centroids, ...), and bootstrap methods for the analysis of cluster stability.

A collection of artificial and real-world machine learning benchmark problems, including, e.g., several data sets from the UCI repository.

The main function archetypes implements a framework for archetypal analysis supporting arbitrary problem solving mechanisms for the different conceptual parts of the algorithm.

In addition, the package provides methods for data preprocessing (normalization and discretisation), visualisation, and validation of bicluster solutions.

Automatic generation of exams based on exercises in Markdown or LaTeX format, possibly including R code for dynamic generation of exercise elements. Exercise types include single-choice and multiple-choice questions, arithmetic problems, string questions, and combinations thereof (cloze). Output formats include standalone files (PDF, HTML, Docx, ODT, ...), Moodle XML, QTI 1.2, QTI 2.1, Blackboard, Canvas, OpenOLAT, ARSnova, and TCExam. In addition to fully customizable PDF exams, a standardized PDF format (NOPS) is provided that can be printed, scanned, and automatically evaluated.

A general framework for finite mixtures of regression models using the EM algorithm is implemented. The E-step and all data handling are provided, while the M-step can be supplied by the user to easily define new models. Existing drivers implement mixtures of standard linear models, generalized linear models and model-based clustering.

Computes multivariate normal and t probabilities, quantiles, random deviates and densities.

Estimates a subset of nonlinear multivariate models (NMM): system of nonlinear regressions (SNR), logit, and a joint model of SNR and logit. 'nmm' uniquely accounts for correlations between the error terms from nonlinear regressions and the probabilities from logit models. It also enables a very flexible design of logit: alternative-specific indirect utilities, individual-specific choice set and number of actual choices.

Onedimensional Normal (i.e. Gaussian) Mixture Models Classes, for, e.g., density estimation or clustering algorithms research and teaching; providing the widely used Marron-Wand densities. Efficient random number generation and graphics. Fitting to data by efficient ML (Maximum Likelihood) or traditional EM estimation.

Psychometric mixture models based on 'flexmix' infrastructure. At the moment Rasch mixture models with different parameterizations of the score distribution (saturated vs. mean/variance specification), Bradley-Terry mixture models, and MPT mixture models are implemented. These mixture models can be estimated with or without concomitant variables. See vignette('raschmix', package = 'psychomix') for details on the Rasch mixture models.

Fits structural equation models using partial least squares (PLS). The PLS approach is referred to as 'soft-modeling' technique requiring no distributional assumptions on the observed data.

A set of signal processing functions originally written for 'Matlab' and 'Octave'. Includes filter generation utilities, filtering functions, resampling routines, and visualization of filter models. It also includes interpolation functions.

Support for reading and writing files in StatDataML---an XML-based data exchange format.

Testing, monitoring and dating structural changes in (linear) regression models. strucchange features tests/methods from the generalized fluctuation test framework as well as from the F test (Chow test) framework. This includes methods to fit, plot and test fluctuation processes (e.g., CUSUM, MOSUM, recursive/moving estimates) and F statistics, respectively. It is possible to monitor incoming data online using fluctuation processes. Finally, the breakpoints in regression models with structural changes can be estimated together with confidence intervals. Emphasis is always given to methods for visualizing the data.

Functions for subject/instance weighted support vector machines (SVM). It uses a modified version of 'libsvm' and is compatible with package 'e1071'.
