gtkTextIterGetOffset

<code>object</code>

Returns the character offset of an iterator.
Each character in a <code><a rd-options="" href="/link/GtkTextBuffer?package=RGtk2&version=2.20.31" data-mini-rdoc="RGtk2::GtkTextBuffer">GtkTextBuffer</a></code> has an offset,
starting with 0 for the first character in the buffer.
Use <code><a rd-options="" href="/link/gtkTextBufferGetIterAtOffset?package=RGtk2&version=2.20.31" data-mini-rdoc="RGtk2::gtkTextBufferGetIterAtOffset">gtkTextBufferGetIterAtOffset</a></code> to convert an
offset back into an iterator.
