Data

 variance functional. Possible values are <code>"qn"</code>
 for the Qn or <code>"tau"</code> for the tau scale.

scale_est

a small positive numeric value to be
 used for determining numerical 0.

Internal function. Computes the starting points for the DetMCD algorithm.
