Translate Species Codes into Names

Provides generic data structures and algorithms for use with forest
mensuration data in a consistent framework. The functions and objects
included are a collection of broadly applicable tools. More specialized
applications should be implemented in separate packages that build on this
foundation. Documentation about 'ForestElementsR' is provided by three
vignettes included in this package. For an introduction to the field of
forest mensuration, refer to the textbooks by Kershaw et al. (2017)

translate_spec_codes_into_names function

<dl><dt>x</dt>
<dd>Object of one of the fe_species_id classes or a <code>character</code>
vector</dd>
<dt>spec_lang</dt>
<dd>Choice of how species (group) names or id's are translated.
Supported choices are "eng" (English species names, default), "ger" (Geman
species names), and "sci" (scientific species names).</dd>
<dt>coding</dt>
<dd>Name of the coding against which <code>x</code> is to be checked.
Must be one of the entries in the column <code>species_coding</code> in the data
file <code>species_codings</code></dd></dl>
