Beetles

This database includes 15,142 records belonging to 54 Iberian species of the Scarabaeidae (Coleoptera) previously compiled in the so called BANDASCA database (Lobo &amp; Martín-Piera, 2002) also freely available in GBIF (<a href="https://www.gbif.org/">https://www.gbif.org/</a>). Individual counts, longitude and latitude of species occurrences of the family Scarabaeidae in the Iberian Peninsula are provided.

It uses species accumulation curves and diverse estimators to assess, at the same time, the levels of survey coverage in multiple geographic cells of a size defined by the user or polygons. It also enables the geographical depiction of observed species richness, survey effort and completeness values including a background with administrative areas.
