ci.rmsea: Confidence interval for the population root mean square error of approximation

Description

Confidence interval for the population root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA).

Usage

ci.rmsea(rmsea, df, N, conf.level = 0.95, alpha.lower = NULL,
alpha.upper = NULL)

Arguments

rmsea

observed root mean square error of approximation

df

degrees of freedom of the model

N

sample size

conf.level

desired confidence level (e.g., .90, .95, .99)

alpha.lower

the Type I error rate for the lower tail

alpha.upper

the Type I error rate for the upper tail

Value

returns the upper and lower limit as well as the observed value of the RMSEA.

Details

Provides a confidence interval for the population root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) using the noncentral chi-square distribution (e.g., Steiger & Lind, 1980).
