pratio: Calculation of psi (\(\psi \))

Description

\(\psi \) is also called polar ratio. It is used to measure overlap of two subdatasets. If \(\psi>1\), these two subdatasets have a gap, while \(\psi <1\) indicates that two subdatasets overlap.

Usage

pratio(xx, na, nb)

Arguments

xx

count data of RNA reads generated by next generation sequencing.

na

number of replicate libraries in condition A.

nb

number of replicate libraries in condition B.

Value

pratio

pratio list

Details

Psi (\(\psi \)) is defined as $$\psi = max\left(\frac{min(X_A)}{max(X_B)},\frac{min(X_B)} {max(X_A)}\right)$$
