<code>basis</code> and <code>basis&lt;-</code> are S4 generic functions which respectively 
 extract and set the matrix of basis vectors (i.e. the first matrix factor) 
 of a NMF model. 
 For example, in the case of the standard NMF model $V \equiv WH$, 
 method <code>basis</code> will return matrix $W$.
 
 <code>coef</code> and <code>coef&lt;-</code> are S4 methods defined for the associated generic 
 functions from package <code>stats</code> (See <a href="/link/coef?package=NMF&version=0.5.06&to=stats" rd-options="stats" data-mini-rdoc="stats::coef">coef</a>). 
 They respectively extract and set the matrix of mixture coefficients 
 (i.e. the second matrix factor) of a NMF model. 
 For example, in the case of the standard NMF model $V \equiv WH$, 
 method <code>coef</code> will return matrix $H$.
 
 Methods <code>coefficients</code> and <code>coefficients&lt;-</code> are simple aliases for methods 
 <code>coef</code> and <code>coef&lt;-</code> respectively.

This package provides a framework to perform Non-negative
        Matrix Factorization (NMF). It implements a set of already
        published algorithms and seeding methods, and provides a
        framework to test, develop and plug new/custom algorithms. Most
        of the built-in algorithms have been optimized in C++, and the
        main interface function provides an easy way of performing
        parallel computations on multicore machines.
