<dl> <dt>pathname</dt>
<dd>A <code><a href="/link/character?package=R.utils&version=2.12.3" data-mini-rdoc="R.utils::character">character</a></code> string of the pathname to be checked.</dd> <dt>...</dt>

Arguments

This function follows symbolic links (also on Windows) and returns a
 value based on the link target (rather than the link itself).
