vglmff-class

Family functions for the <pkg>VGAM</pkg> package

classes

Vector generalized linear and additive models, and
        associated models (Reduced-Rank VGLMs, Quadratic RR-VGLMs,
        Reduced-Rank VGAMs). This package fits many models and
        distribution by maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) or
        penalized MLE. Also fits constrained ordination models in
        ecology.

vglmff-class function

Objects can be created by calls of the form <code>new("vglmff", ...)</code>.

Objects from the Class

<pkg>VGAM</pkg> family functions are not compatible with
  <code><a href="/link/glm?package=VGAM&version=0.8-3&to=stats" rd-options="stats" data-mini-rdoc="stats::glm">glm</a></code>, nor <code>gam</code> (from either
  <pkg>gam</pkg> or <pkg>mgcv</pkg> packages).
