chk_file: Check File or Directory Exist

Description

Checks if file or directory exists using

vld_string(x) && file.exists(x) && !dir.exists(x)

Usage

chk_file(x, x_name = NULL)
vld_file(x)

Arguments

x

The object to check.

x_name

A string of the name of object x or NULL.

Value

The chk_ functions throw an informative error if the test fails.

The vld_ functions return a flag indicating whether the test was met.
