ACTmath

This dataset contains score distributions for two forms of the ACT mathematics test, as presented in table 2.5 of <em>Test Equating, Scaling, and Linking</em> (Kolen and Brennan, 2004; p. 50).

In educational and psychological measurement multiple
        forms of a test are often created, where forms are intended to
        be identical in difficulty and statistical characteristics. In
        the likely case that forms differ in difficulty, statistical
        methods of equating and linking allow for the conversion of
        scores on one form to the scale of another, essentially
        creating parallel forms. The equate package contains functions
        for traditional equating, including mean, linear, and
        equipercentile equating and methods for pre- and post-smoothing
        of score distributions.
