a bivariate functional data object to be plotted.

fdobj

if TRUE, all cycles are plotted simultaneously; otherwise
each cycle in turn is plotted.

matplt

the number of argument values in a fine mesh to be
plotted.  Increase the default number of 201 if
the curves have a lot of detail in them.

additional plotting parameters such as axis labels and
etc. that are used in all plot functions.

A plotting function for data such as the knee-hip angles in
the gait data or temperature-precipitation curves for the
weather data.

smooth

These functions were developed to support 
   functional data analysis as described in Ramsay, J. O.
   and Silverman, B. W. (2005) Functional Data Analysis.
   New York: Springer.  They were ported from earlier
   versions in Matlab and S-PLUS.  A manual that describes
   the use of these functions is available in this
   library. The library also contains a number of the
   data sets used in the book along with R code for the
   analyses that produced many of the figures in the book.
