Add residuals from a model to a data frame

Graceful 'ggplot'-based graphics and utility functions for working with generalized additive models (GAMs) fitted using the 'mgcv' package. Provides a reimplementation of the plot() method for GAMs that 'mgcv' provides, as well as 'tidyverse' compatible representations of estimated smooths.

add_residuals function

<dd>a data frame containing values for the variables used to fit the
model. Passed to <code><a href="/link/stats%3A%3Aresiduals()?package=gratia&version=0.8.1" data-mini-rdoc="gratia::stats::residuals()">stats::residuals()</a></code> as <code>newdata</code>.</dd>

<dd>a fitted model for which a <code><a href="/link/stats%3A%3Aresiduals()?package=gratia&version=0.8.1" data-mini-rdoc="gratia::stats::residuals()">stats::residuals()</a></code> method is
available. S3 method dispatch is performed on the <code>model</code> argument.</dd>
