Matrix (binary) of patterns. Optionally if
  <code>y</code> is also passed as argument, then the pattern
  matrix is defined as the elements agreeing in the two
  matrices.

Optional matrix argument with same dimensions as
  <code>x</code> (see above)

Implementation of various statistical models for multivariate
