sw.sigma.t: Seawater quasi-potential density anomaly

Description

Compute $\sigma_t$, a quasi-potential density of seawater, minus 1000 kg/m$^3$.

Usage

sigma.t <- sw.sigma.t(S, t, p);

Arguments

S
in-situ salinity [PSU]
t
in-situ temperature [$^\circ$C]
p
in-situ pressure [dbar]

Value

  • Quasi-potential density anomaly [kg/m$^3$].

Details

Definition: $\sigma_t=\rho(S,t,0)$ - 1000 kg/m$^3$.
