Class to store drifter data, with standard slots <code>metadata</code>,
    <code>data</code> and <code>processingLog</code>.

classes

Supports the analysis of Oceanographic data,
 including ADP measurements, CTD measurements, sectional
 data, sea-level time series, coastline files, etc.  
 Provides functions for calculating seawater properties 
 such as potential temperature and density, as well as 
 derived properties such as buoyancy frequency and 
 dynamic height.

drifter-class function

Data may be accessed as e.g. <code>pt[["time"]]</code>, where the
    string could also be <code>"latitude"</code>, etc.  Assignment to these can be
    made with e.g. <code>drifter[["latitude"]] &lt;- value</code>, etc.  Indeed, any
    quantity in the <code>metadata</code> slot or the <code>data</code> slot can be
    retrieved or updated in this way.
