as.tdr: Create a TDR object

Description

Create a TDR (temperature-depth recorder) object.

Usage

as.tdr(time, temperature, pressure,
      filename="", instrumentType="rbr", serialNumber="", model="", pressureAtmospheric=NA,
      processingLog, debug=getOption("oceDebug"))

Arguments

time

a vector of times for the data.

temperature

temperatures at the give times.

pressure

pressures at the give times.

filename

optional name of file containing the data

instrumentType

type of instrument

serialNumber

serial number for instrument

model

instrument model type, e.g. "RBRduo"

pressureAtmospheric

optional atmospheric pressure, in the same unit as seawater pressure

processingLog

if provided, the action item to be stored in the log. (Typically only provided for internal calls; the default that it provides is better for normal calls by a user.)

debug

a flag that can be set to TRUE to turn on debugging.

Value

• An object of class "tdr", which is a list with elements detailed below.
• data
  a data table containing the time, temperature, and pressure data.
• metadata
  a list containing the following items [object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]
• processingLog
  a processingLog of processing, in the standard oce format.

Details

This is used by read.tdr to create tdr objects.
