The Child Health and Development Studies investigate a range of topics. One
study, in particular, considered all pregnancies between 1960 and 1967 among
women in the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan in the San Francisco East Bay
area. The goal is to model the weight of the infants (<code>bwt</code>, in ounces)
using variables including length of pregnancy in days (<code>gestation</code>),
mother's age in years (<code>age</code>), mother's height in inches
(<code>height</code>), whether the child was the first born (<code>parity</code>),
mother's pregnancy weight in pounds (<code>weight</code>), and whether the mother
was a smoker (<code>smoke</code>).

datasets

Supplemental functions and data for 'OpenIntro' resources, which
includes open-source textbooks and resources for introductory statistics
(<https://www.openintro.org/>). The package contains data sets used in our
open-source textbooks along with custom plotting functions for reproducing
book figures. Note that many functions and examples include color
transparency; some plotting elements may not show up properly (or at all)
when run in some versions of Windows operating system.
