<p>The maximum number of stages <code>K</code>. 
<code>K = 1, 2, 3, ...</code> (default is <code>3</code>).
The maximum selectable <code>kMax</code> is <code>20</code> for group sequential or inverse normal and
<code>6</code> for Fisher combination test designs.</p>
