Extract Window of Spatial Object

Given a spatial object (such as a point pattern or pixel image) in two dimensions, these functions extract the window in which the object is defined.

Details

These are methods for the generic function Window which extract the spatial window in which the object X is defined.

The argument from applies when X is a fitted point process model (object of class "ppm" or "kppm"). If from="data" (the default), Window extracts the window of the original point pattern data to which the model was fitted. If from="covariates" then Window returns the window in which the spatial covariates of the model were provided.

Value

  • An object of class "owin" (see owin.object) specifying an observation window.
