The <code>data</code> variable passed to the <code>Taxmap</code> constructor

The taxon IDs for the inputs that made the taxonomy

input_ids

If <code>TRUE</code>, and a data set length is the same as the
<code>input_ids</code> length, then assume that <code>input_ids</code> applies to the data set as
well.

assume_equal

Make sure <code>data</code> is in the right format and complain if it is not. Then, add
a <code>taxon_id</code> column to data with the same length as the input

internal

Provides taxonomic classes for
groupings of taxonomic names without data, and those
with data. Methods provided are "taxonomically aware", in
that they know about ordering of ranks, and methods that
filter based on taxonomy also filter associated data.
