<code>use_directory()</code> creates a directory (if it does not already exist) in the
project's top-level directory. This function powers many of the other <code>use_</code>
functions such as <code><a rd-options="=use_data" href="/link/use_data()?package=usethis&version=1.3.0&to=%3Duse_data" data-mini-rdoc="=use_data::use_data()">use_data()</a></code> and <code><a rd-options="=use_vignette" href="/link/use_vignette()?package=usethis&version=1.3.0&to=%3Duse_vignette" data-mini-rdoc="=use_vignette::use_vignette()">use_vignette()</a></code>.
